The Lighthouse Cafe

Established in 1949, The Lighthouse Cafe has been a landmark to Hermosa Beach and the jazz community for many years. When we acquired it in 2020, this vintage local spot had clearly seen some better days. We wanted to restore the jazzy, speakeasy feel to what was once one of the greatest live music spots in all of LA.

You'll now find The Lighthouse with lots of warm wood tones, historical art, modern technology and a touch of class. The large scale collage wall includes photos of artists like Miles Davis and Chet Baker, who had once graced the stage years ago. The signage on the back wall pays tribute to the movie LaLa Land, which was filmed there in 2016. other updates include: a large LED screen behind the stage, a new sound system, cedar wrapped ceiling beams and tin ceilings. The bar was also restored, stained and topped with an epoxy resin to give it a beautiful classic shine.

Modern Art Salon & Medspa

This commercial space had quite the facelift!  The original two office rooms were converted into three treatment rooms while the old drop ceiling was replaced and more lighting was added.  The brown, faux stone wall partitions were covered with a high-gloss white paint and the yellow and terracota colored walls were painted in a tranquil light grey.  An artistic wallpaper background was placed behind the hair stylist wall.

The modern design was finished off with a beautiful painting by artist Kelcey Fisher.
